12U Champions – Dan Trant Classic

Great Effort for a Great Cause!

10U Champions – Dan Trant Classic

10U team lead by Coach Flaum completed a very successful season winning 3 of 4 tourneys! This group of young phenoms displayed an eLIte level of skill & talent while showing a tremendous amount of growth, IQ and passion for the game.

ZG Nationals

16U eLIte attended the ZG Nationals June 10-12 in Boston, Mass. The tournament of champions consisted of past ZG tourney winners from all over the east coast including sneaker-sponsored programs such as BABC,  NE Playaz, Mass Rivals to name a few. 16U eLIte lost in sweet 16 round to a very good CM3 Elite (NY) team by 4 pts in a hard fought battle after defeating a solid Boston Bobcats & TMT (CT). Great job & thank you to the all parents who made the trip a success!

Congrats to Curtis “CJ” Williams (Ward Melville/Sullivan CC/SUNY Farmingdale ’16) graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. CJ celebrates a journey beginning as an original member & standout of Coach Nick’s very first AAU team in 2006 to an alum who made time to give back as a volunteer coach and mentor while working full time and finishing his degree. CJ will be heading to Germany for a pro tryout this June! We send our program’s blessings in all your future endeavors. We are truly proud of you & all of your accomplishments. CJ embodies everything our program strives for in our student-athletes to represent on & off the court!

16U eLIte put together a total team effort playing up in 17U Regionals going 5-0 & qualifying for 17U DII Nationals

July 13-18 held at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla!

With their tallest players 6’4, what they lack in size they more than compensate for in heart & hustle fueled by their trademark full court pressure, Golden State-like ball movement and “eLIte” togetherness,

16U eLIte play for one another and play the right way

each time they hit the floor!

16U eLIte won all three pool games by an average 25 pt margin of victory. In the Elite 8, they faced a sizable 17U NextGen Kuar team with two 6’7 players and four others 6’3 along with quick guards. Final score 89-48. The Final Four & semis posed a Lightning-Semolis team with three quality city guards and two athletic 6’4 forwards along with a bruising 6’7 big man. Down 11-2 early and facing a halftime deficit for the first time in tourney play, 16U responded like a champion with a blistering second half run that proved to be too much for Lightning to overcome. Final score: 89-78. They advance to play a very good NYC Almighty Force club in the 17U DII Finals on Championship Monday, Memorial Day at Island Garden!
